am Dimitra Balkizas the book's publisher.
I am a native of Lesvos and I have lived in Vatera on &
off for the last 16 yrs, the last two on a full time
basis. Returning to Lesvos in 2002 I decided that 'my'
island and Vatera somehow must have their day.
In 2003 I commissioned Brian & Eileen
Anderson (well known travel writers and journalists) to
write this book (in English) which was designed to
complement the Sunflower Landscapes – LESVOS (which they
were also writing about the same time) by describing more
walks in a very much undiscovered region of Lesvos.
There are plans to have it translated in
Dutch, with the additions of more walks at South Lesvos,
so watch this space…In the meantime changes to the content
of the book will be published
